After you sign up for one, or many, paid survey companies, you fill in a profile about yourself. This usually includes such information as race, sex, whether you rent or own your home, income range, family demographics, and general interests. Filling this in honestly and completely will help the paid survey companies match you with survey opportunities.
Once your profile is filled out, it is time to wait. Paid surveys will either be emailed to you, or you will have to check the program website for open surveys. Then, simply complete the survey honestly.
How Much Do You Make From Paid Surveys?
There are three general types of paid surveys that give you some sort of reward for completing them.
Cash Paid Surveys
These paid surveys pay you real money to complete the questions. You often have to wait to reach a certain minimum payout before requesting your money. Most pay by check or PayPal.

Paid surveys that pay you in rewards points or gift certificates can be fun. For every survey successfully completed, you can earn a certain number of points that can be exchanged for something of value.
Sweepstakes Paid Surveys
Paid surveys that "pay" in sweepstakes entries and contest chances are popular. If you really like taking surveys and do not care much about being compensated, you might like these. You might even get lucky and win something, but I wouldn't count on it.
If you goal is to make money with paid surveys, the first option is your best.
Chances are, you will not be able to make a living wage from paid survey opportunities. Signing up for many paid survey companies will increase your chances, but it may still be a while between surveys you are eligible for.
